  • Wine Review: Salto Sangiovese 2021

A velvety light bodied red wine with gradually growing bitterness, that stops at the perfect spot of drying sensation. Aromas of plum, black currant, blackberry, cherry, strawberry, cranberry, tobacco, clove, violets, oak, and dried thyme. On the palate, dried fruits like cranberries and cherries, dried herbs, and ground black pepper. A wine that can go with anything.

  • Wine Review: Caspagnolo Chianti 2022

Nose: floral, violets, tar, ripe blue and black berry, dark cherry, plum, bramble, light oak, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. Palate: bright acidity, medium bodied, coarsed tannins. Dark berries, black pepper, Dark chocolate flavor. Although this wine has layers to it, it has an overwhelming sensation of bitterness that I did not enjoy and wouldn't want to have with food.

  • Wine Review: Domaine Lafage Bastide Miraflors Côtes du Roussillon Rouge 2018

This rouge blend that consist of 70% syrah and 30% grenache is smooth at first, with flavors of dark chocolate and smoke. Aromas of candied cherry, violets, and tobacco. A great wine for a cheese and meat board.

  • Wine Review: Penya Viognier Côtes Catalanes 2023

Floral white wine with notes honeysuckle, white flowers, linden, and acacia. Hint of ginger, honey, apricot, lychee, and dried herbs. The mouthfeel is really smooth and silky with soft fine bitterness. Nice ripe tropical fruit flavors are in the wine, but first thing that’s noticeable is pineapple, cantaloupe, over ripe peach, guava, and mango. The wine has a low acidity, which is great for the bright Peruvian dish called "Ceviche".

  • Wine Review: L'Ecole Chenin Blanc 2022

It’s a pretty bitter wine. You must have food to truly experience it. You'll get notes of linen, wet wool, and a stale burned out cigar/cigarette. It is interesting because it has a nice kosher Sea salty acidity component to it. But overall you will want/need food to balance it out. I'd think grilled or smoked cod with a creamy white Sauce.

  • Wine Review: Emendis Nu Allonge Nonvintage Cava

Light pale yellow color with small bubbles that ascend from center of wine to top. Has a chalky drying sensation on the palate with a consistent tickling acidity that starts from back of palate to the front. White floral aromas with a hint of orange blossom, honeysuckle and jasmine. Shortly, followed by beeswax, and citrus aromas of lemon and mandarin. On the palate there are flavors of raw amber honey, apples, slate, honeydew melon, and mixed red berries like cherry and raspberry.

  • Wine Review: Les Rocailles Rosé 2023

Really light pale pink color on the wine as if there was only a single drop of pink dye into a sea of white wine. The wine is a 50/50 blend of gamay and pinot noir grapes. Aromas on the nose covers dried red roses, under ripe wild strawberries, and raspberries. The taste has a tangy acidity with a light bodied texture. Flavors consist of lemon pulp, tangerine, strawberry, and raspberry. The wine has a short finish.

  • Wine Review: Jordan Chardonnay 2021

A delicious soft and creamy chardonnay with tangy acidity, that adds a shocking twist to the wine. This chardonnay stands out with a flavor profile of cream, fresh yogurt, lemon, pear, and grapefruit. I'm certain that, the wine will only get better with age.
